Roman Makarov is the GGI World Conference speaker

Roman Makarov, NSP partner of Judicial practice, will make a presentation at the GGI World Conference on the topic: “Recognition and enforcement of decisions of foreign courts in Russia and decisions of Russian courts in other jurisdictions”.

 

Roman will share with his foreign colleagues the successful experience of the NSP (at the beginning of 2019 we managed to enforce the court decision in Nicosia (Cyprus) at the territory of the Russian Federation) and will advise on how to overcome the risks when applying to the Russian courts with applications of that kind.

Also, Roman will talk about forecasts of the development of the practice. Recall that in July of 2019, Russia, among the participants in the Hague Conference on Private International Law, adopted the 2019 Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Judicial Decisions in Civil or Commercial Matters.
