Aram Grigoryan elected as a partner of litigation practice at NSP

Aram Grigoryan specialises in complex corporate and business disputes in Russia and abroad, as well as bankruptcy and subsidiary liability cases.

His professional experience includes the protection of interests of dozens of clients in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the High Court of London, the ICAC at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the LCIA and the ICC. Aram was also engaged in drafting of expert opinions on Russian law issues for foreign courts and courts of arbitration in major international disputes.

In particular, Aram represented the interests of a Russian machine-building concern in a complex construction dispute against the Uzbek potash plant in the ICAC at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and in courts of arbitration, protected the interests of a foreign shareholder in connection with the corporate takeover of a mining and smelting enterprise, represented the interests of a Hong Kong company in the LCIA in a corporate dispute regarding the hostile takeover of a Russian mining asset, protected the interests of a defendant in a dispute regarding bringing the controlling entities to subsidiary liability in the bankruptcy case of an agricultural company, drafted opinions for the US and UK courts in cases of recovery of damages from the controlling entities of reorganized banks, etc.

Aram has a successful track record of recognition and enforcement of judicial acts of foreign courts and courts of arbitration in Russia. In 2022, Aram, among others, won the first case considered by Russian courts regarding the recognition of the decision of the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC).

Aram is an author of articles and commentaries on bankruptcy issues, corporate disputes and international arbitration. His papers are published in Forbes, Kommersant, RBC, Global Legal Insight and other Russian and international media.

He is a lawyer and graduate of the Faculty of Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).
